Education, research and development:

As Mikodam we highly value education and research, wanting to contribute in the ways we can. We are aware of the fact that today’s world cannot survive without education and research; we all need to support it to create individuals with values that care for the earth and the future, investing in research for continuous development. With each input,   individuals can gain more awareness on many different subjects; wishing to be an ingredient in this greater aim we give seminars and internships to college seniors inviting them into our perspective on design and education. We also work together with  students on graduation projects, preparing them  for the things they will have to face in business. Design is a multidisciplinary field where one needs to know not only how to imagine but also to solve, to manufacture, to cooperate, to use new technologies, to invent new ones, to know what material to use, to stay relevant, to handle problems, to communicate… We  want to help broaden their horizon as sometimes curriculums may fall behind. Step by step we  want to find solutions for better education.

We see students as the future and giving them a better education means a better future. Life and future, overall, are a design which is nourished by  education and research; what all of us can provide to today’s education systems affects the design of the entire future.

Some of the projects we have realised regarding education, research and development:

ProCNC

ProCNC is a collaboration project held within European Union’s Erasmus + branch. With the support of Turkish National Agency and the European Union we  partnered with METU, OMSIAD, Infotron, Aris, EBG, and a local vocational school. The aim of this project is to raise professionals for using CNC machines efficiently with a deep knowledge and a strengthened sense of problem solving. It also aims to renew the curriculums in hand adapting them to future expectations. In a broader perspective this project contributes to the overall furniture market of Turkey, transferring the techniques in the world to the practice, while increasing employment and welfare.

Asantepark:

ASANTEPARK takes intelligence, art and technology as its main motives. ASANTEPARK has set off with the aim to create together a participative and active “working ecosystem” where pleasure and business are balanced. Our purpose is to bring together young people in the fields of design and contracting who have different abilities, realizing their strong sides while improving the weaker parts, leading them to transform this collaboration into a sustainable ecosystem on an instructive, web-based business partnership platform. ASANTEPARK is a business model built with the vision of a social lifestyle. It aspires to cultivate enthusiastic, open to learning, participative, qualified, creative, productive and consistent entrepreneurs who have the ability to generate income. ASANTEPARK is a new generation business and lifestyle model where participants benefit from shared services, receive education, engage in social activities, live, work, share and generate income on a web-based cloud platform.

Keycha:

Keycha is a new generation work environment prototype,  offering reservable office space options to people who are working on  living spaces and products of the future,  allowing them to reduce on office costs while being able to work in a productive, designed environment .
